Citation Oriented AuthorRank for Scientific Publication Ranking

It is now generally accepted that an article written by influential authors often deserves a higher ranking in information retrieval. However, it challenging task to determine author’s relative influence since about the author is, much of time, inaccessible. Actually, scientific publications, important metadata item, which has been widely used previous studies. In this paper, we bring optimized AuthorRank, topic-sensitive algorithm calculated citation context, into analysis for testing whether and how topical AuthorRank can replace or enhance classical PageRank publication ranking. For purpose, first propose with Priors (PRP) rank publications authors. PRP supervised Labeled Latent Dirichlet Allocation (Labeled-LDA) topic model full-text extraction. We then compared four methods generating score, looking, respectively, at author, last most famous “average” (of publication). Additionally, two combination (Linear Cobb–Douglas) were several baselines. Finally, as shown our evaluation results, performance combined better (p < 0.001) than other baselines
